Coconut Oil Raw Granola
This recipe is our favorite all around. You will need a dehydrator to bake the granola under 120 degrees for 24 hours. The finished product is deliciously raw and natural! Put together in large bowl: 8 cups old fashioned oatmeal, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 4 cups unsweetened coconut flakes, 1 cup sliced almonds, 1 cup cashews pieces.
In small saucepan on stove, slowly warm: 1 cup Coconutreat’s Organic Coconut Oil, 1 cup honey. When barely melted, take off stove and add one Tablespoon pure vanilla extract. Spread on parchment sheets placed on your dehydrator trays. Dry at least 24 hours. Eat and enjoy! This will be the yummiest granola you have ever eaten!
Maple Bars or Delicious Cinnamon Rolls
Put the following ingredients in mixer bowl:
One quart warm water
3 Tablespoons yeast
3 Tablespoons pure cane sugar
Let set for 10 minutes. Add: 2/3 cup coconut milk, 2/3 cup honey, 2 Tablespoons salt, 1 cup Coconutreat’s Organic Coconut Oil softened, 6 eggs. Mix around 12 cups flour in. Be sure to leave sticky. Don’t add too much flour. Let rise 1 hour. Roll out and cut into bars. Let rise 15 minutes. Poke with fork. Fry in Coconutreat’s Organic Coconut Oil until brown on both sides. Oil is too hot if it is smoking. Just lower temperature. 350 to 400 degrees is just right. Frost with maple frosting. If making cinnamon rolls, roll out entire dough on countertop into rectangle shape. Spread softened coconut oil on dough and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Roll into long shape like a snake and cut each roll with a string. Set on greased cookie sheet and let rise until double. Bake in 400 degrees oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Frost with cream cheese frosting. You are eating healthy fat that burns body fat!
You’ll be amazed how absolutely yummy these fries are when fried in Coconutreat’s Organic Coconut Oil! Peel potatoes, any potatoes will work. Slice into thin french fries. Spread on cookie sheet and freeze for 1 hour. This makes them crispy on the outside and keeps them from saturating with oil. Preheat deep fat fryer and fry until browned and crisp. Drain and salt with healthy salt, like Redmond Real Salt processed in Utah. We enjoy these fries in a meal with only a side salad. You will never want the fast food fries ever again.
